Children's classes are taught by a qualified Art teacher, registered with The General Teaching Council for Scotland and a member of the PVG scheme.
In consultation with you and your child, a tailor-made programme of engaging art activities is developed to cultivate your child's love of art. Topics are based around your child's areas of interest; people, animals, places etc and the art activities are selected to meet you and your child's objectives e.g. improving skills in drawing and painting or developing self expression.
These fun after school sessions develop students' artistic skills and introduce the work of a range of artists to give meaning to the pieces that are made. We explore a range of topics and students are able to research, design, develop ideas and make amazing pieces of art.
The 1:1 sessions build students' confidence and technical skills as well as encouraging creative thinking and expression. We cover a wide range of art techniques, working with a variety of media including pencils, pastels and paint. Depending on your child's areas of interest, we explore the work of different artists and cultures and find inspiration in our surroundings. Led by a professional art teacher with extensive experience, the class environment is supportive and encouraging and we work at a pace comfortable for your child.
Previous students have gone on to study art related courses at prestigious universities both nationally and internationally including; Goldsmiths University, UCL, Falmouth School of Art, UCA, Arts University Bournemouth and The Savannah College of Art and Design.
These 60 minute sessions can begin as early as 3pm (earlier on Friday) and finish as late as 6pm. Weekly sessions are usually booked in termly blocks of approximately 8 weeks but there is flexibility for weeks missed due to holidays or other activities. All materials and equipment are provided.

If it wasn’t for you, I’m sure I wouldn’t have come this far...I hated many mediums but you’ve changed my mind as I’ve come to enjoy them. I never thought I’d come to enjoy art so much!

You’ve inspired me to want to pursue my passion in art.

Your teaching has a perfect balance of practical work and art theory - which makes for a better understanding of Fine Art as a whole.
