CHILDREN'S ART CLASSES

Led by a professional art teacher with extensive experience

Children's classes are taught by a qualified Art and Design teacher, registered with The General Teaching Council for Scotland and a member of the PVG scheme.

The 1:1 art classes build students' confidence and technical skills as well as encouraging creative thinking and expression.   We cover a wide range of art techniques, working with a variety of media including pencils, pastels and paint.  The class environment is supportive and encouraging and we work at a pace comfortable for your child.

Previous students have gone on to study art related courses at prestigious universities including the art colleges in Scotland and further afield; Goldsmiths University, UCL, Falmouth School of Art, UCA, Arts University Bournemouth and The Savannah College of Art and Design.

Personalised teaching

In consultation with you and your child, I create a tailor‑made programme of engaging art activities that nurtures their love of art. Topics are built around their interests - people, animals, places - and activities are chosen to meet your shared objectives, whether that’s improving drawing and painting or developing self‑expression. Depending on your child's areas of interest, we explore the work of different artists and cultures and find inspiration in our surroundings.

I am committed to creating a safe and inclusive space for neurodivergent students. My teaching methods are adaptable, ensuring that each learner receives the support they need to thrive. A blend of pathways is always possible and planned together so lessons feel right for your child.

WHAT PREVIOUS STUDENTS say....

You are one of the most inspirational teachers I've had. You believe every student has the ability to become an artist.

Megan, age 14

You have constantly made me believe in myself and pushed me forwards.

Eloise, age 17

I would totally recommend you to others as you have a very engaging teaching style.

Divyansh, age 18

If it wasn’t for you, I’m sure I wouldn’t have come this far...I hated many mediums but you’ve changed my mind as I’ve come to enjoy them. I never thought I’d come to enjoy art so much!

Cherry, age 14

You’ve inspired me to want to pursue my passion in art.

Nicole, age 17

Your teaching has a perfect balance of practical work and art theory - which makes for a better understanding of Fine Art as a whole.

Hope, age 17

some of the amazing work created by previous students....
